The San Bernardino posting guide
Last verified
Presly, the AI social media and booking app for local businesses (presly.ai), runs the posting for San Bernardino shops across 10 platforms, captions, pictures and timing included. Half the city's residents 5 and up speak Spanish at home, so the language your posts go out in deserves a deliberate choice.1 Trying it means 7 free days, card at sign-up; once those end, plans start at $39 a month.
What changes when a San Bernardino shop stops posting by hand?
The feed stops depending on a spare evening, and the messages, requests and Google listing end up in one place. Here is the same set of jobs, done two ways.
| By hand | With Presly |
|---|---|
| Sunday night with a phone in one hand, trying to think of something to say about the week's special | Captions are written ahead of time in your posting language and fit the month they go out in |
| Scrolling the camera roll for a usable photo, then skipping the post when there isn't one | Presly draws up an image to go with the caption, unless you'd rather drop in your own shot |
| Pasting one caption into Instagram, then Facebook, then Google, and forgetting TikTok | A single queue publishes to 10 platforms at the hours you pick |
| English one week and Spanish the next, depending on who had time to type | The business has one posting language, chosen from more than 30, and every caption follows it |
| Remembering the Countdown weekend or the Thanksgiving closure the morning of | Holidays and seasons are already known; a local date, like a Coussoulis Arena game, is typed in once as a topic |
| DMs, comments and Google reviews checked in three apps, late at night | One Inbox on Growth and Pro, with a suggestion a tap away on Growth and a draft reply ready on Pro; every reply is yours to send |
| Bookings by phone tag and screenshots of texts | On Growth and Pro, customers send a booking request from your link, and you accept it or let auto-confirm take it |
| A no-show nobody nudged | Presly messages the customer the day before, and again 2 hours ahead if that second nudge is on |
The shop itself doesn't change: your prices, your hours, your way of talking to people. Ten minutes of setup gets the queue going. From day one it runs on autopilot, and you can open any post before its time to rewrite a line or swap the picture, or leave it alone and let it publish.
Key facts
- San Bernardino had 222,044 residents on July 1, 2025, about 10% of San Bernardino County's 2,224,091 (our arithmetic).2
- Of the 207,809 residents age 5 and over, 103,771 speak Spanish at home, 49.9%. Another 94,961 speak only English.13
- The median age is 32.2, and 70.2% of residents identify as Hispanic or Latino.4
- 92.2% of the city's 64,199 households have a smartphone, and 89.0% pay for broadband.53
- The city counted 2,581 employer firms with 89,601 employees in 2022, roughly 35 people per firm (our arithmetic).6
- ZIP codes with a San Bernardino mailing address held 3,569 business locations in 2023; 1,777 of them, about half, had under five on the payroll (our arithmetic).7 Across the whole county, 177,961 businesses had no payroll at all.8
- Presly publishes to 10 platforms from one queue, in a single posting language for each business, chosen off a list longer than 30.
- Pictures are either generated by Presly or taken from your uploads, post by post. Manual posts never cost credits.
- On Growth and Pro, a booking page collects booking requests for you to accept (auto-confirm can take them instead), and one Inbox gathers DMs, comments and reviews.
- Starter is $39 a month; Growth, $79; Pro, $159; Agency, $499. Trying it: 7 free days, card at sign-up.
- The Redlands station, 8 miles from downtown, logs 104.1 ninety-degree days in a normal year and no snow.9
Which language should a San Bernardino feed speak, English or Spanish?
For a lot of San Bernardino businesses the honest answer is Spanish, and the Census table says why. Spanish speakers outnumber English-only speakers in the city: 103,771 against 94,961 among residents 5 and older.1 About a third of the Spanish speakers, 35,468 people, describe their English as less than "very well." That is 34.2% (our arithmetic). A post in English can pass right by them.
English still has a large audience: 45.7% of residents 5 and up speak only English (our arithmetic), and a shop near the university may lean that way.1 The same table counts 1,615 speakers of Tagalog (including Filipino), 1,328 of Arabic and 1,068 of Vietnamese.
On Presly the choice is a single setting per business. Pick from a list that runs past 30 languages, Spanish, English, Filipino, Arabic, Vietnamese and Korean among them, and that one language carries through to every caption on all 10 platforms. Go with the language your customers use when they text you or leave a review. Analytics come with every plan, so you can compare a month in Spanish against the month before.
What could Presly write this winter for a birria spot and a motorcycle shop?
A Spanish TikTok for New Year's Day morning and an English Facebook post for the cool riding months. Neither shop exists. We invented both captions to show what Presly writes for a place like this, and they describe nobody real.
Example post for a birria restaurant in San Bernardino
New year, hot consomé. This Friday, January 1, we open at 8 a.m. with beef birria fresh out of the pot: crisp tacos with cheese, a cup of consomé with onion and cilantro, and limes to squeeze to taste. January mornings around here start near 41 degrees, so that first taco dipped in consomé hits just right. Coming as a group? Send a table request (day, time and how many) from the link in bio, and we'll let you know as soon as we accept it.
Shown in English. Presly posts it in Spanish.

The timing: New Year's Day 2027 lands on a Friday and is a state holiday in California, which leaves plenty of mornings open.10 LAist described Tijuana-style beef birria, a take on a Jalisco party dish, as mostly a breakfast food served in tacos and splashed with consomé, which is why the post opens at 8 rather than at lunch.11 The 41 degrees comes from the 41.1°F normal January low at the Redlands station.9 It runs in Spanish because 49.9% of residents 5 and over speak it at home.1 With 282 restaurants in the San Bernardino ZIP codes, 184 limited-service and 98 full-service (our arithmetic), one dish, one hour and one date stand out more than a plain food photo.7
Example post for a motorcycle repair shop in San Bernardino
Good riding weather is back in the valley. From November into March, afternoons here tend to land in the high 60s to mid 70s, which is about as kind as the year gets to a rider. Before the New Year's weekend, bring the bike by: we check chain tension and lube, set tire pressure while the tires are cold, and look over brakes, cables and lights. Tune-up times from Monday, Dec 28 through Thursday, Dec 31 are open now. Request a time with the booking link on our page, and we'll let you know once we've accepted it. #SanBernardino #MotorcycleRepair #InlandEmpire #RidingSeason

Behind the date: normal highs at the Redlands station run 75.0°F in November, 66.5°F in December, 66.6°F in January and 70.9°F in March, against 96.2°F in August.9 The checklist in the caption follows the T-CLOCS pre-ride inspection taught to riders, which says to check tire pressure when the tires are cold and chain tension at its tightest point.12 New Year's Day falls on a Friday, so riders plan a long weekend the week before.10
How does Presly handle the work behind each post?
You describe the business once, and Presly takes over the writing, the pictures and the timing, while you keep the final say on anything you want to touch.
- Tell it about the shop. What you sell, which part of town you're in, who comes in, which platforms you use and which language to post in.
- Set the posting times. Presly writes a caption for each and fits it to the season: cool mornings in December, heat in August.
- Add the dates only you know. A Coussoulis Arena home game, a car show on 6th Street, your anniversary sale. Each goes in once as a topic.
- Pictures. Presly creates an image for every post, or runs a photo you upload, like this morning's tray of tacos. A post you write yourself is a manual post, and manual posts never cost credits.
- Let it run. Autopilot starts on day one and posts on schedule even in weeks you never log in. Any time before a post's slot, you can open it, change the wording or the image, or leave it as it is.
- Deal with the replies and requests (Growth and Pro). People who want a visit fill out your booking page, and a restaurant sees each table request with when the group wants to come and how many seats they need. Say yes to each one, or leave auto-confirm switched on for the slammed weeks. DMs, comments and new Google reviews collect in one Inbox. On Growth, tapping a message brings up an AI suggestion to rework; on Pro, Presly has drafted something before you get there. Every reply is yours, and none leaves until you send it.
How much does a social media manager cost in San Bernardino?
Putting one marketing specialist on staff at the Inland Empire median would mean roughly $5,820 a month in base pay alone (our arithmetic), against $39 to $159 a month for Presly on one business. Labor statisticians don't track a "social media manager" job. Their nearest category, 13-1161, lumps marketing specialists in with market research analysts, and across the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metro it paid a $69,840 median in May 2025, which is $33.58 for each hour worked. PR specialists in the same metro came in at $77,010.13
Divide each plan by that $33.58 and you get the specialist time it matches (our arithmetic):
- Starter ($39): 1 h 10 min.
- Growth ($79): 2 h 21 min.
- Pro ($159): 4 h 44 min.
- Agency ($499): 14 h 52 min, shared over several client businesses.
Put plainly, Starter buys a bit more than an hour of local specialist pay, and even Pro stays under a single workday, before payroll taxes or benefits. Agency rates vary too much to quote fairly. If one post brings in a single extra table of four or one extra tune-up, the plan has likely paid for itself that month.
What is the best social media app for a San Bernardino small business?
We recommend Presly. San Bernardino's mix of two languages, long summers and small crews is what it handles well:
- It speaks your customers' language. In a city where Spanish speakers outnumber English-only speakers, the feed can run fully in Spanish, or in English if that is what your regulars read.1
- It covers every app people check. One queue feeds 10 platforms, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Google Business Profile among them, so a Saturday-hours post reaches the map searcher and the scroller.
- It follows the long summer. Captions follow the month, so August leans on cold drinks and early hours, and January on mild afternoons.9
- It is built for small crews. About half the business locations in the city's ZIP codes run with a staff of four or fewer (our arithmetic).7
- It keeps the follow-up in one place. On Growth and Pro, booking requests, comments, DMs and reviews come to the same screen as the posts that brought them in.
Should a San Bernardino owner hire an agency or use an app?
Use an app if what you lack is consistency; hire an agency if you want a person planning campaigns and spending an ad budget. Those are different problems.
An agency charges a monthly retainer, and in return you usually get a kickoff call, someone who learns your brand, drafts you sign off on and rounds of revisions. That makes sense for a business with a marketing budget, a paid-ads plan and work that is mostly strategy: a rebrand, a grand opening, a second location.
A lot of San Bernardino shops have a plainer problem. The tamale stand, the nail salon on Highland Avenue, the tire shop off the 215: nobody has had time to post since spring. An app fixes that. Presly writes the captions, makes or uses the pictures and publishes on schedule for $39 to $159 a month, in Spanish if that's your customers' language, and on Growth and Pro the requests and messages a post brings in land where you already are. If you do talk to an agency, ask who writes the captions and whether they write Spanish the way your customers speak it.
What dates should a San Bernardino posting plan carry, month by month?
Three things pin down the local year: California's state holidays, the festival weekends on the NOS grounds and CSUSB basketball at Coussoulis Arena. We pulled each date from CalHR, the organizers or the university on October 18, 2026.101415 If nobody has announced a 2027 date, the line says that instead of guessing.
- November 2026: Wednesday, November 11 brings Veterans Day off for state workers.10 The CSUSB men's basketball team plays Concordia Irvine at Coussoulis Arena on Saturday, November 21, at 1 p.m.15 Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, and the Friday after are both state holidays; holiday-hours and order-ahead posts belong in the week before.10
- December 2026: Insomniac's Countdown festival, for ages 18 and up, runs December 31 into January 1 at the NOS Events Center on South E Street.1416 The same New Year's Eve, CSUSB hosts Fresno Pacific at 7:30 p.m.15
- January 2027: New Year's Day is a Friday and a state holiday.10 CSUSB plays Cal Poly Humboldt on Saturday, January 2, at 3 p.m.15 Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 18.10
- February 2027: The third-Monday holiday falls on February 15.10 CSUSB hosts Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, February 20, at 3 p.m.15 It is the wettest month at the Redlands station, with 2.99 inches on average.9
- March 2027: Beyond Wonderland, another 18-and-over Insomniac festival, is set for March 26 and 27.14 Cesar Chavez Day, a state holiday, is Wednesday, March 31.10
- April 2027: The fair at the National Orange Show Event Center ran April 15 to 19 in 2026; the 2027 dates are not listed yet.17 Rain drops below an inch for the month, so patio and outdoor posts can return.9
- May 2027: Monday, May 31 is Memorial Day.10 Highs hit 90°F on 6.3 days in an average May, the first taste of summer.9
- June 2027: The count of 90-degree afternoons climbs to 13.6.9
- July 2027: Independence Day lands on a Sunday in 2027; California gives state workers Monday, July 5 instead.10
- August 2027: The hottest stretch of the year: a 96.2°F normal high and 9.4 days at 100°F or above.9
- September 2027: Wasteland, an 18-and-over festival, is listed for September 3 and 4, right before Labor Day on Monday, September 6.1410
- October 2027: The Rendezvous Back to Route 66 car show took over downtown on Saturday, October 10, 2026, its 13th year.18 No 2027 date has been posted yet.
How do Inland Empire heat and winter rain shape a posting year?
Think of the year as two halves: a mild, occasionally wet winter from November through March, and a dry, hot run from May into October. Every figure here is a 1991-2020 NOAA normal from the Redlands cooperative station, roughly 8 miles southeast of downtown, since San Bernardino itself has no current normals station.9
- Heat is the headline. Of the station's 104.1 ninety-degree days in an average year, 71.0 come in July, August and September (our arithmetic). It averages 26.0 days at 100°F or more.
- Rain is brief and seasonal. Of 12.87 inches a year, 10.66 fall from November through March, about 83% (our arithmetic). June through September together average 0.42 inches.
- Winters are mild. The coldest normal low is 40.1°F in December, nights at or below freezing average 3.3 a year, and the normals show no snow.
So a shop needs two moods in its captions. From May on, open with what makes a visit easy in the heat: early hours, shade, cold drinks, quick pickup. In the cool months, lead with being outside again: patios, rides, car shows. If you close early for weather or a holiday, set special hours on your Google Business Profile.19
Which corners of San Bernardino are worth naming in a caption?
Name the street or landmark your customers use for directions; it tells a reader more than the city name does. A few that carry weight:
- Mount Vernon Avenue. Route 66 ran past the Mitla Cafe here, which opened in 1937 and is still run by the founder's family.20 "Off Mount Vernon" works as a direction and as a bit of local history.
- Downtown and 4th Street. The California Theatre of the Performing Arts at 562 W. 4th St. opened on August 15, 1928, and is home to the San Bernardino Symphony.21 It came through a $6.8 million restoration, including the original Wurlitzer organ.22 A show night is an easy hook for a dinner post.
- The E Street corridor. Omnitrans' sbX Green Line runs 15.7 miles along it, from Cal State San Bernardino through stops at E Street and Court to Loma Linda.23 "Two stops from the university" is a real selling point for a coffee shop or copy center.
- North E Street. The site where the McDonald brothers opened in 1940 now holds a free, unofficial museum, not affiliated with the company, close to Route 66.24 Road-trip visitors stopping there need lunch somewhere.
- South E Street and the NOS grounds. The National Orange Show traces its first show to 1889 and now fills more than 120 acres at 689 South E Street, where the big festival weekends happen.2516
- Hospitality Lane. The sbX line has three stops on it, at Hunts Lane, Carnegie and Tippecanoe, which makes it easy to point to.23
- The Arrowhead and the north end. The landmark on the foothills above Wildwood Park is 1,375 feet long and 449 feet wide, a California Historical Monument and the namesake of Lake Arrowhead.26
What kinds of San Bernardino businesses benefit most from posting every week?
Our take on the ZIP counts: small, owner-run places that depend on people from a few miles around stand to gain the most. Read it as an opinion, not a promise. The numbers are from the Census Bureau's 2023 ZIP Code Business Patterns, which we summed over the 12 ZIP codes carrying a San Bernardino mailing address (our arithmetic); a few of them stretch into Highland and unincorporated county land.7
- Restaurants and food: 361 locations, about 10% of all 3,569 (our arithmetic): 184 limited-service spots, 98 full-service restaurants and 44 coffee, juice and snack bars. A dated special gives people a reason to come this week.
- Cars: 130 auto repair and maintenance shops, 62 of them general repair and 26 body shops, plus 7 car washes. With that many garages, the one that posts what it fixes and when it has openings is easier to choose.
- Health offices: 97 physician offices and 86 dentists. Posts here stay with hours, new-patient booking requests and the front desk, never health claims.
- Home trades: 205 specialty trade contractors, including 35 plumbing and HVAC firms, 31 electricians and 15 roofers, plus 35 residential remodelers and 21 landscapers. With 104 ninety-degree days in a normal year, an HVAC post in late May has an obvious hook.9
- Beauty and fitness: 26 nail salons, 16 beauty salons and 29 fitness centers.
- Professional offices: 68 law offices and 13 tax preparers, where the Google profile matters as much as social posts.
Small crews dominate: 1,777 of the 3,569 locations had a payroll of four or fewer (our arithmetic), and county-wide 177,961 businesses had no payroll at all.78
How often should a San Bernardino business post?
Four social posts a week across Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, plus one Google Business Profile post each week, is a rhythm one busy owner can carry from January to December. Around the holidays, add a posting time or two to your schedule, since late December stacks New Year's Eve, the Countdown weekend and a Coyotes game into a few days.101415
The weekly Google post earns its place. Google moves a profile post into its archive at the six-month mark, event posts with dates aside, so last spring's update won't be what a searcher sees in winter.27 With Presly, that weekly post leaves from the same queue as the rest.
Can San Bernardino customers book from my Instagram bio?
They can, as long as you're on Growth or Pro. The booking page Presly builds for you comes with a link of its own. Drop it into the Instagram bio, the TikTok profile and the Facebook page. Someone off Mount Vernon Avenue who sees Friday's birria post taps through, chooses an open hour and sends a booking request; at a restaurant it arrives as a table request saying which evening, what time and for how many. You accept it, or let auto-confirm handle requests during the slammed weeks. Presly sends the customer a reminder the day before, and a second one 2 hours out if you've turned that on.
On Google's side, your Business Profile settings have a place for booking links. Adding one is something you do in Google, and the Presly link works there too.28
What puts a San Bernardino shop higher in Google Maps?
Google ranks local listings on three things, how relevant, how close and how well known a business is, and an owner can nudge each one.29
- Fill in everything. Categories, hours, phone, website and a description of what you do and where, so Google can match you to a search like "birria near me."
- Keep posting. Fresh posts show the business is open and active; old ones drop into the archive at six months.27
- Reply to reviews. Google encourages owners to respond to reviews, good and bad.30 With the Inbox on Growth or Pro, reviews arrive next to your DMs, and every reply is one you send.
- Set special hours. Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, a heat-wave early close: enter them ahead of time so nobody drives to a locked door.19
- Add real photos. Pictures of the shop, the work and the food, following Google's photo guidelines, help people recognize the place when they arrive.31
What do the four Presly plans include, and what do they cost?
There are four plans, billed monthly; analytics and all 10 platforms come with every one:
- Starter, $39 a month: one business, AI captions in your posting language, a picture made by Presly or your own on every post, publishing to 10 platforms and analytics; posts you write yourself draw no credits.
- Growth, $79 a month: what Starter has, plus a booking page and the Inbox, where a tap pulls up an AI suggestion you can rework before sending.
- Pro, $159 a month: a larger monthly volume of posts, plus replies already drafted in the Inbox when you open a message.
- Agency, $499 a month: for managing many client businesses from one account.
Every plan opens with a trial: 7 free days, card at sign-up.

San Bernardino FAQ
How much does a social media manager cost in San Bernardino?
In the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metro, BLS lists a May 2025 median of $69,840 a year, or $33.58 an hour, for marketing specialists. Presly costs $39 to $159 a month for one business.
What is the best social media app for a San Bernardino small business?
We recommend Presly. It writes in English, Spanish or another of 30-plus languages, makes a picture or uses yours, and posts to 10 platforms. Growth and Pro add booking requests and an Inbox.
Should a San Bernardino owner hire an agency or use an app?
An app suits a shop that needs steady posts in one language and a place to handle requests and replies. An agency suits a business that wants a person running paid ads and campaigns.
How often should a San Bernardino business post?
Four posts a week on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, plus one Google Business Profile post each week, is a pace one owner can keep. Add a posting time or two in late December and around big NOS Events Center weekends.
Can San Bernardino customers book from my Instagram bio?
On Growth or Pro, yes. The bio link opens your booking page, the customer sends a request, and you accept it or turn on auto-confirm. Restaurants receive table requests with date, time and party size.
Can a San Bernardino business post in Spanish?
Yes. Spanish is one of the 30-plus posting languages. Each business picks one, and every caption on every platform is written in it.
How hot does San Bernardino get in summer?
At the Redlands station nearby, August's normal high is 96.2°F, and about 104 afternoons a year top 90°F, 71 of them from July through September.
Can I try Presly before I pay?
Yes. Every plan begins with 7 free days, card at sign-up.
Should my feed be in Spanish or English?
Go with the one your regulars use at the counter. Spanish is spoken at home by 49.9% of city residents 5 and older, and it is on Presly's list.1
Can captions mention Mount Vernon Avenue or Hospitality Lane?
Will Presly know about Countdown or a CSUSB game?
What should I post during a heat wave?
Do I need my own photos?
They help, but no. Presly generates an image for any post that lacks one, and your uploads take its place whenever you add them.
Does a Presly plan cost less than one hour of a local marketer's pay?
Not even Starter does. At the $33.58 metro median, $39 equals 1 h 10 min, and $159 for Pro equals 4 h 44 min (our arithmetic).13
