Presly, the AI social media and booking app for local businesses (presly.ai), keeps Raleigh coffee counters, salons, tax offices and trade crews posting on 10 platforms every week, so a Glenwood South bar or a Five Points boutique stays on screen in a city that keeps adding people. Raleigh grew by more than 38,000 residents between April 2020 and July 2025, and each newcomer still has to settle on a barber, a bakery and a vet.1 Presly runs your feed on autopilot in your customers' language, and Growth and Pro add a shared Inbox of drafted replies and a booking link. Try it free for 7 days; plans start at $39 a month.
Key facts
About Presly
- Ten platforms from one dashboard, Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok among them, with captions, hashtags and pictures handled for you.
- Pictures come from Presly's AI, from your camera roll, or a mix of the two, and manual posts never cost credits.
- Every business gets one posting language from a menu of 30-plus that includes Korean, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Filipino, Vietnamese and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
- On Growth and Pro, messages, comments and reviews gather in an Inbox where each one arrives with a suggested answer to polish and send, plus a booking page for appointments or restaurant tables.
- $39 Starter, $79 Growth, $159 Pro or $499 Agency per month, after a 7-day trial that needs a card on file.
About Raleigh
- 506,306 residents on July 1, 2025, up from an estimates base of 468,102 in April 2020, and 1,257,235 people in Wake County.1
- 12,379 employer firms in the city (2022).2
- 113,775 businesses with no payroll in Wake County (2023).3
- A median age of 34.7, and 54.0% of adults 25 and older hold a bachelor's degree or higher.45
- 95.4% of the city's 203,443 households have a smartphone.6
- A normal RDU year brings just 5.2 inches of snow but 52.4 afternoons that reach 90°F.7
Why is it hard for a Raleigh business to stay visible while the city grows?
Because the crowd changes faster than most shops update their feeds. Raleigh reached 506,306 people in mid-2025, 38,204 more than the April 2020 base, or about 8.2% growth (our arithmetic), and 7,289 came in the most recent year.1 A newcomer in a Midtown apartment has no favorites yet, and whoever shows up in their feed that first month has a real shot at becoming one.
Competition is thick. Raleigh has 12,379 employer firms, and Wake County, which also covers Cary, Apex and Wake Forest, counts 113,775 nonemployer businesses.23 Of the county's 33,873 payroll locations, 18,818, about 55.6%, employ under five people (our arithmetic).8 The caption writer is usually the owner.
The audience already searches first. The typical resident is 34.7, 18.7% are 25 to 34, and 94.7% of households pay for broadband.45 Presly keeps your profile current without eating your evenings.
How does Presly manage social media for a Raleigh business?
It writes the week, matches each caption with a picture and fills the time slots you picked, then does it all again.
Start with a short brief. Explain what you sell, who buys it and where you want to appear. Presly turns that into posts with images and lines them up on your calendar. Autopilot is on from day one. You can review and edit your posts before they go out, or let it run.
Seasonal sense comes from the calendar month. A post scheduled for August gets heat and iced-drink angles; one scheduled for January leans toward hot coffee and fresh starts. Parade morning, Hopscotch weekend or First Night go in as topics you type, and Presly builds captions around them.
Pictures either way. Snap the morning batch, a fresh fade or the finished deck yourself, or let Presly generate the image.
Appointment requests from any post. A booking page comes with Growth and Pro. Service businesses receive appointment requests; restaurants receive table requests with the date, the time and how many are coming. Each one waits for your yes unless auto-confirm is on. Customers hear from Presly one day ahead, and a second nudge two hours before is there if you want it.
Every reply started for you. On Growth and Pro, Google reviews, comments and DMs from the accounts you connect flow into one Inbox, and each arrives with a suggested response you can rework before sending.
Paying its own way. One extra dozen-doughnut order a week, or one more return or cleaning patient a month, and Starter, at $39, has probably covered its cost.
How much does a social media manager cost in Raleigh?
A lot more each month than Presly. Federal wage data does not track a job titled social media manager. Its closest cousin, the category of market research analysts and marketing specialists, paid a median $78,980 a year ($37.97 an hour) across Raleigh-Cary in May 2025, according to the BLS.9 PR specialists there earned a median $68,790.9
Set next to Presly (our arithmetic):
- Divided by twelve, $78,980 comes to about $6,582 a month, and that is before benefits, payroll taxes or tools.
- An eight-hour day from that specialist costs roughly $304, almost twice the price of Pro.
- Starter's $39 covers about one hour of the specialist's day, while Presly keeps working all month.
Agencies quote their own fees for a dedicated human. For a downtown café or a two-desk tax practice, Presly delivers posts, pictures, drafted replies and booking requests, all for less than one workday of local marketing pay (our arithmetic).
What is the best social media app for a Raleigh small business?
We recommend Presly. It fits how Raleigh businesses run:
- It posts where Raleigh searches. Google Business Profile sits among the 10 platforms, handy when a concertgoer walking out onto Fayetteville Street looks up coffee nearby.
- It writes in more than English. Raleigh has 44,846 Spanish speakers age 5 and older, plus 5,587 who speak Arabic and 3,776 who speak Vietnamese at home, and Presly can post in each of those languages.10
- It turns attention into appointments. Growth and Pro connect a post to a booking request and a review to a drafted reply, all in one app.
Should a Raleigh coffee shop or tax office hire an agency or use an app?
For most independent Raleigh businesses, the app gives more for the money. Hiring an agency means paying a person a retainer. Going solo means late nights with your phone. Presly splits the difference: posts arrive written and scheduled, and booking requests and replies share the same screen.
| The job | DIY | Presly |
|---|---|---|
| Planning seven days of posts | Sketched on a receipt during the lunch rush | Drafted, illustrated and slotted into your posting times |
| Images that look good | Whatever your phone caught between orders | Your shots, AI images, or a blend of both |
| Ten platforms at once | Ten apps and a password notebook | One calendar publishing to every account |
| Parade morning, the State Fair, tax season | Remembered when a regular mentions it | Seasons and holidays built in; Raleigh events added as topics |
| Captions in Spanish or Vietnamese | Paste into a translator and hope | Choose the language one time; each caption uses it |
| Reviews, DMs and comments | Opened app by app after closing | Collected in one Inbox, each with a draft (Growth and Pro) |
| Appointment and table requests | Voicemails returned at 8 a.m. | Requests through your link and an automatic day-ahead reminder (Growth and Pro) |
What would Presly post for a Raleigh business this season?
Both examples use business types found all over Raleigh and tie them to real dates. They are invented and portray no actual business or customer.
Example post for a doughnut and coffee shop in Raleigh
Parade morning is almost here. The 82nd Raleigh Christmas Parade rolls down Fayetteville Street at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov 21, and our fryers are going well before that. Swing by for a warm half dozen (glazed, cinnamon sugar and maple pecan) plus a carafe of hot coffee for the curb. Order ahead and skip the line on your way downtown. Preorder your parade box: link in bio. #RaleighNC #RaleighChristmasParade #DowntownRaleigh #RaleighEats

Why it works: the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association lists the 82nd parade for November 21, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Fayetteville Street, and Visit Raleigh describes a 1.4-mile route that draws about 60,000 spectators.1112 November lows at RDU average 40.0°F, so a breakfast-time curb crowd wants something hot.7 Wake County also has 303 snack and nonalcoholic beverage bars and 50 retail bakeries.8
Example post for a tax preparation office in Raleigh
Two January dates for Raleigh freelancers and side-gig earners. If you pay estimated tax, the fourth payment for 2026 is due Friday, Jan 15. Then filing season opens, usually in late January; in 2026 the IRS and the N.C. Department of Revenue both started taking returns on Jan 26. The IRS suggests waiting until your W-2s and 1099s are in hand, so start one folder for them today and bring it to us when they arrive. Book your prep appointment: link in bio. #RaleighTaxes #TaxSeason #WakeCounty #RaleighSmallBusiness

Why it works: the IRS sets the September to December estimated payment at January 15 of the following year, and in 2026 it opened filing on Monday, January 26, the same day the N.C. Department of Revenue began accepting state returns.131415 The folder tip comes straight from the IRS advice to wait for W-2s and 1099s.16 Wake County has 75 tax preparation offices, 54 with fewer than five employees, plus 245 CPA offices and 113,775 nonemployer businesses.83
What is on the Raleigh calendar each month?
We checked each date against the organizer or Visit Raleigh in October 2026. State holidays follow OSHR, the state personnel office; school dates follow the Wake County Public School System 2026-27 traditional calendar (modified and year-round schools differ).1718 Where a 2027 date is not posted, we say when it usually happens.
January. New Year's Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 18) are state holidays, and Wake students also get January 19 off.1718 Estimated tax payments are due January 15, and filing season usually opens late in the month.1314 Post idea: "First appointments of the year are open."
February. Monday, February 15 is a WCPSS teacher workday, so students are out.18 February's normal snowfall is 1.4 inches, enough to keep a "we're open, roads permitting" draft ready.7 Post idea: a Valentine's preorder post on February 1 and a three-day-weekend special.
March. Wake schools hold a teacher workday on March 10. Good Friday, March 26, closes state offices and schools alike, and spring break runs March 29 through April 2.1817 Post idea: "Home all week? We have weekday openings."
April. Classes resume after an April 5 teacher workday, and returns are usually due April 15, the date both the IRS and the state set in 2026.181415 Normal highs reach 72.7°F.7 Post idea: a patio opener, or "late filers welcome" from a tax office.
May. Artsplosure brought about 175 juried artists downtown on May 16 and 17, 2026, and averages more than 85,000 visitors.19 Memorial Day, May 31, 2027, is a state and school holiday.1718 Post idea: festival-weekend hours and the first cold brew of the year.
June. Classes on the traditional calendar wrap up in early June, followed by teacher workdays on June 10 and 11.18 RDU averages 12.1 June days that hit 90°F.7 Post idea: new summer hours and a send-off special for graduates.
July. The state's Independence Day holiday lands on Monday, July 5, 2027.17 No month runs hotter: a 90.8°F normal high and 18.6 days that reach 90°F.7 Post idea: cold drinks, shaded seats and a reminder that the air conditioning works.
August. Wake's 2026-27 school year opened August 24, 2026, after a week of teacher workdays.18 Highs still average 88.7°F.7 Post idea: first-week-of-school trims, checkups and quick breakfasts in mid-August.
September. Hopscotch Music Festival, a downtown staple since 2010, ran September 10 to 12, 2026, with its main stage at City Plaza on Fayetteville Street and free programming at Moore Square Commons.20 September is RDU's wettest month, at 5.15 inches.7 Post idea: "Festival weekend: we're open late two blocks from the stage."
October. The 2026 N.C. State Fair was set for October 15 to 25 on Blue Ridge Road, and Visit Raleigh says it draws one million visitors each October.21 October is the driest month, at 3.37 inches.7 Post idea: a fair-weekend special for west Raleigh traffic, then furnace and gutter reminders.
November. Students are off November 3 for a teacher workday, and Veterans Day, November 11, is a day off for state workers and students.1817 Parade day is Saturday, November 21, and Thanksgiving break covers November 25 to 27, while state offices shut on the 26th and 27th.111817 Post idea: parade-morning preorders and pie pickup times.
December. Wake schools break December 21 through January 1, and the state shuts its offices December 24, 25 and 28.1817 First Night Raleigh rings in the new year downtown; the 2025 edition had a 6 p.m. People's Procession and Acorn Drops with fireworks at 7 p.m. and midnight at 400 Fayetteville Street, per Artsplosure.22 Post idea: gift cards, holiday hours and a note for the New Year's Eve crowd.
How do state holidays and tax season shape a Raleigh week?
As the state capital, Raleigh runs partly on the state's calendar, so a few weekdays behave like weekends. OSHR gives state workers December 24, 25 and 28 plus November 26 and 27 off in 2026.17 If your weekday crowd includes state employees, those dates can feel more like Saturdays (our view). A lunch counter can post shorter hours early, while a salon can advertise "day off? we have openings."
Wake teacher workdays such as January 19, February 15 and March 10 keep students home on ordinary weekdays, which shifts when families shop, eat out and book.18
Tax offices get a ready-made season: three months of natural topics between the January 15 estimated payment and the usual mid-April deadline.1314 Try this rhythm:
- First week of January: a reminder about January 15 for clients who pay estimates.
- Opening week: "We're booking returns now," timed to the IRS announcement.
- March into April: open slots each week, then a last-call post.
Enter each date as a topic; Presly handles the drafting. Keep claims general and send clients to the IRS or the N.C. Department of Revenue for specifics.
How does Raleigh weather change what you post?
Raleigh pairs a long, sticky summer with a mild winter of frosty nights and the odd surprise snow, and each calls for different posts. RDU's 1991-2020 normals lay it out.7
- Heat (June through August): highs average 87.4°F in June, 90.8°F in July and 88.7°F in August, with 52.4 afternoons a year at 90°F-plus and about two at 100°F.7 Lead with iced drinks, shade, indoor services and early or late appointment times.
- Rain: 46.07 inches a year, heaviest in July (5.02 inches) and September (5.15 inches).7
- Frost: 64.7 nights each year dip to 32°F or lower, 18.0 of them in January and 15.4 in December, even with January afternoons averaging 51.9°F.7
- Snow: just 5.2 inches in a typical year, mostly January (2.6), February (1.4) and December (0.8), and about 1.5 days a year bring an inch or more.7 When it does fall, keep a closure draft handy and update special hours on Google.23
Seasonal angles track the month a post goes live, so cold brew stays out of January. If ice rearranges your day, change that morning's scheduled post.
Which Raleigh districts should your captions name?
The district your customers already say out loud. Visit Raleigh's district pages describe a different mood in each one.
- Fayetteville Street: converted in the 1970s into a pedestrian mall, home to Carolina Ballet and the North Carolina Symphony, and regularly closed off for festivals.24
- Glenwood South: known for "progressive restaurant and nightlife concepts," shops and art galleries, built around a row of warehouse buildings.25
- Warehouse District: "six blocks of iconic, red-brick, former-industrial buildings" west of the convention center, with Morgan Street Food Hall and its 20 food concepts and the Red Hat Amphitheater.26
- Moore Square: a historic district that, Visit Raleigh says, has been "a place of gathering" since 1792 and was recently renovated.27
- City Market: original cobblestone streets "lit by lamps" with art galleries, restaurants and specialty shops.28
- Capital District: the Greek Revival State Capitol and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, which Visit Raleigh calls the Southeast's largest natural history museum.29
- North Hills: a walkable Midtown district with more than 130 shops, restaurants, bars, spas, a theater and an outdoor music venue, on the site of a mall that first opened in 1960.30
- Five Points: named for the meeting of Glenwood Avenue, Fairview Road and Whitaker Mill Road, with a 1942 cinema that shows foreign and independent films.30
Downtown also has a Sip n' Stroll social district, open for strolling with a drink from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, a handy hook for a Warehouse District taproom caption.31
Should a Raleigh business post in Spanish or another language?
Match the language your regulars use at their own kitchen tables. In Raleigh, 18.9% of people age 5 and up speak something besides English at home, and 6.8% rate their English below "very well."5
Largest groups in the Census count:
- Spanish: 44,846 speakers, 9.9% of residents 5 and up, and 17,991 of them report English below "very well."5 About 12.6% of Raleigh residents are Hispanic or Latino.4
- Arabic: 5,587 speakers, about 1.2% of the age group (our arithmetic).10
- Vietnamese: 3,776 speakers, about 0.8% of the age group, and roughly 68.7% of them (2,594 people, our arithmetic) rate their English below "very well."10
- Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese: 2,739 speakers.10
- Tagalog, including Filipino: 1,696 speakers, and Korean: 1,212.10
Setting it up. Presly assigns one posting language per business. A Capital Boulevard taquería could post entirely in Spanish, a pho kitchen in Vietnamese and a bakery in Arabic. Korean, Hindi, Filipino and both forms of Chinese appear on the same list of 30-plus options.
Which Raleigh businesses benefit most from Presly?
Our take on Wake County's 2023 County Business Patterns follows; read it as opinion, not a forecast of results.8
- Food and drink: 2,636 places to eat or drink, about 7.8% of all Wake County business locations (our arithmetic), including 1,021 full-service restaurants, 984 limited-service spots, 303 snack and nonalcoholic beverage bars, 134 bars and 59 food trucks.
- Health and wellness: 618 physician offices, 562 dental offices, 221 therapy offices (physical, occupational and speech), 169 chiropractors and 102 optometrists, all of them booking-driven.
- Beauty and personal care: 422 beauty salons, 76 nail salons, 45 barber shops and 184 spas and other personal care shops, plus 126 pet care businesses.
- Trades and home services: 1,964 specialty trade contractors, among them 395 plumbing and HVAC firms and 301 electricians, plus 503 residential remodelers and 464 landscapers.
- Professional services and real estate: 1,117 real estate offices, 665 law offices, 245 CPA offices and 75 tax preparation services, each with its own busy season to post around.
Sample week for a Five Points dog groomer (example only). The week opens with a Presly post, "Holiday trims fill up fast, so grab a pre-Thanksgiving slot," plus the booking link. Midweek brings a before-and-after of a fluffy doodle from the groomer's own camera. Friday flags Saturday openings for parade-goers. By Sunday, on Growth or Pro, a thank-you draft sits under each new Google review for the owner to skim and send.
How often should a Raleigh small business post?
Show up every week of the year rather than in one pre-holiday rush. No official count exists. Our suggestion for Raleigh: Instagram and Facebook three or four times weekly, plus a new Google Business Profile update once a week. Google archives profile posts at six months old unless a date range is attached, which means April's update will not speak for you in December.32 Summer and the holiday weeks are the easiest stretches to fall behind, so queue those ahead, and add a post or two for parade weekend, the State Fair and early tax season.
Can Raleigh customers book from my Instagram bio?
Yes, once you are on Growth or Pro. One link opens your booking page. It fits in an Instagram bio, at the bottom of any caption, or among the booking links on your Google Business Profile, where Google allows 10 per type and highlights the one you mark "Business preferred."33 A follower chooses a time and sends a request, which you accept or auto-confirm handles. Presly pings them one day out, and an optional two-hour heads-up can be switched on. Restaurants use the identical flow for tables, with date, time and number of guests.
How can a Raleigh business rank better on Google Maps?
Complete the profile, post to it weekly and answer the people who leave stars. Google's help center, paraphrased:
- Local results are sorted by relevance, distance and prominence, and Google says money cannot buy a higher spot. Thorough details and a healthy pile of reviews both work in your favor.34
- Updates, offers and events all count as profile posts, and many can carry a button that opens your booking page; Presly can publish one weekly.32
- Replying to every review, five stars or one, signals that the business is listening.35
- Enter special hours ahead of Thanksgiving and the Christmas closures, and on any icy morning when you open late or not at all.23
- Google takes JPG or PNG photos from 10 KB up to 5 MB and recommends a square 720-pixel image.36
- Use your real-world business name without stuffed keywords, and keep URLs, prices and promotions out of the description.37
