How do Omaha's snow and summer heat change the posting plan?

  • Blackstone: where the Reuben was "first created in 1925 at the former Blackstone Hotel," with restaurants and bars packed into a few blocks.27

  • Little Bohemia: a "historic neighborhood just south of downtown Omaha," named for its Czech settlers, with an "eclectic mix of locally owned businesses."29

Should an Omaha business post in Spanish?

Post in Spanish when that's the language your regulars text their friends in. In Census figures, 17.9% of Omahans 5 and older speak something besides English at home, and for 11.6% it is Spanish.11 Hispanic or Latino residents make up about 16.2% of the city.4

One language per business. A South 24th Street panadería might write every caption in Spanish, a grocery could choose Arabic or Vietnamese, and a Little Bohemia kolache bakery might go with Czech. German, Korean, Filipino and two forms of Chinese can be chosen as well.

How often should an Omaha small business post?
