Local guide

The Aurora posting guide

Last verified

Presly, the AI social media and booking app for local businesses (presly.ai), is how an Aurora owner stops writing posts at 11 p.m. Give it a paragraph about the business, and it keeps your feeds moving. Every caption gets an image, one Presly makes or a photo of yours, and each post leaves for its platform, ten in all, at the hour you set. A Havana Street Ethiopian kitchen, a Southlands nail studio and a glass shop on East Colfax each get a feed that doesn't stall on a hectic week. Trying it means 7 free days, card at sign-up, and plans start at $39 a month afterward. Growth and Pro also pull the DMs, reviews, comments and booking requests your posts bring back into that same app.

Key facts

Presly at a glance

  • A single calendar publishes to ten networks; Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and your Google Business Profile are four of them.
  • Images: Presly creates one for each post, or you upload your own. Manual posts never cost credits.
  • Captions come in one posting language per business. The 30-plus choices cover Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic and Russian.
  • Four monthly tiers: $39 (Starter), $79 (Growth), $159 (Pro) and $499 (Agency). Growth opens the booking page and the Inbox, with AI wording offered on a tap; Pro lifts the post ceiling and greets each message with a ready draft.

Aurora at a glance

  • Population 410,053 on July 1, 2025, stretched over parts of Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties.1
  • Colorado's third-largest city by the city's own count, covering more than 165 square miles.2
  • 6,082 employer firms in 2022, with 123,179 workers between them.3
  • 72,175 Arapahoe County outfits had nobody on payroll in 2023.4
  • One resident in three, 33.1% of those 5 and older, speaks a language besides English at home.5
  • 14.48 inches of yearly precipitation at Denver International Airport, the closest NOAA station.6

Why should an Aurora business keep posting while the city keeps growing?

New people arrive every year, and each of them is picking a new barber, lunch spot and mechanic, usually on a phone. Census estimates show 410,053 residents in July 2025 against 386,255 in April 2020: 23,798 more, a 6.2% jump (our arithmetic).1 The city now puts itself past 414,000.2

Those choices begin on a screen. Of Aurora's 145,310 households, 94.0% have a smartphone, about 136,600 homes (our arithmetic).7 Someone hunting for injera, a fade or a windshield fix checks Maps, Instagram or a neighbor's story before starting the car.

The field is crowded with tiny shops. In the 15 ZIP codes that carry an Aurora mailing address, 5,056 of 8,569 business locations, roughly 59%, have a staff of four or fewer (our arithmetic).8

What does Presly take off an Aurora owner's plate each week?

One short description at the start, and then the posting keeps rolling.

Ten minutes of setup. List your specialties, the stretch of Aurora you're on (Havana, Colfax, Southlands, near the airport) and where your customers spend time online. Each open posting time then gets its own caption and image. Autopilot is on from day one. You can review and edit your posts before they go out, or let it run.

Seasons are covered. Presly reads the publish date: a post leaving in January talks about frost on the car and something hot to hold, one leaving in July about shade. Local happenings like a Broncos Sunday or the Municipal Center tree lighting go onto your topic list, and Presly writes from that list.

Bring your own shots. Snap the tibs coming off the stove and that photo can run untouched, or let Presly produce an image. Hand-written posts leave your credit balance alone.

Bookings are yours to confirm. The booking page comes with Growth and Pro. A glass shop or a salon gets booking requests for a specific time; an Ethiopian restaurant gets table requests with the date, hour and head count. Accept them, or turn on auto-confirm. Presly reminds the customer the day before, and a second reminder two hours out is optional.

Every reply is yours to send. Growth gathers DMs, comments and Google reviews into the Inbox. Want help? One tap fetches an AI suggestion to reshape before sending. With Pro, that draft is already there when a thread opens. Nothing reaches a customer without your tap on send.

Should an Aurora Ethiopian restaurant hire an agency or use an app?

Judged on cost and on staying consistent, an owner-run Ethiopian kitchen does better with the app. Agencies run on a monthly retainer, usually with a kickoff call and drafts to sign off. Going it alone means captions written once the mitad cools down. Presly carries the writing and the scheduling, and replies or table requests flow back to one place.

How much does a social media manager cost in Aurora?

Around $8,253 a month at the metro's median marketing pay, before payroll taxes and benefits, set against $159 for Presly Pro (our arithmetic). No federal wage series carries the title "social media manager." The closest BLS category, market research analysts and marketing specialists, had a $99,040 median salary in the Denver-Aurora-Centennial metro in May 2025, equal to $47.62 an hour.9 Denver sits in the same metro, so downtown salaries are baked into that figure. Public relations specialists in the metro earned a median $82,930.9

Measured in specialist time (our arithmetic):

  • Starter at $39: 49 minutes. Growth at $79: 1 hour 40 minutes. Pro at $159: 3 hours 20 minutes.
  • Five eight-hour days of that pay, $1,904.80, come within $3.20 of a full year of Pro ($1,908).
  • Twelve months of Starter, $468, buys about 9.8 hours.
  • A year of Pro is close to 1.9% of the median salary.

Agency fees vary too widely to compare fairly, so we skip them.

What is the best social media app an Aurora small business can use?

We recommend Presly. Here's how it fits Aurora:

  • Game Sundays get early posts. The Broncos host the Raiders on November 22 and the Dolphins on December 6.1011 Publishing on Thursday reaches fans while Sunday plans are still being made.
  • School breaks are already queued. Aurora Public Schools close November 23 to 27 and again December 21 to January 1, and Thanksgiving is November 26.1213 Posts for those stretches can sit ready weeks ahead.
  • The Maps listing gets fresh posts. Posts also land on your Google Business Profile, the listing a driver on Havana or Colfax sees after searching "auto glass" or "Ethiopian food."14
  • Posts point to your booking page. On Growth and Pro, Thursday's "open Saturday times" post links straight to it.

What would Presly post for an Aurora Ethiopian kitchen and a windshield repair shop?

These two posts are made up for illustration. No actual Aurora restaurant, glass shop or customer is in either one.

Example postInstagram

Example post for an Ethiopian restaurant in Aurora

The Broncos host the Raiders on Sunday, Nov 22, kickoff at 2:25. Watching from the couch? Pre-order a game-day beyaynetu tray for pickup: misir wat, shiro, gomen, kik alicha and a stack of fresh injera, with spicy beef tibs or doro wat added on request. One tray feeds four to six, and pickups run from noon to kickoff. Heading out after the final whistle instead? The kitchen stays open until 9, and the coffee is on. Message us to pre-order a tray, or send a table request for after the game: link in bio. #AuroraEats #HavanaStreet #EthiopianFood #BroncosSunday
Example post image: Overhead tight shot of a large round tray covered with spongy injera on a woven straw tabletop, topped with small mounds of stew: red lentil misir wat, golden split peas, dark green collards, glossy beef tibs with peppers and a spoon of crumbly white cheese, two hands tearing a rolled piece of injera at the tray edge, warm low lamp light, no faces, no text, no logos, no labels, no room in view.

Why it works: The Broncos' official schedule has the Raiders visiting on Sunday, November 22, at 2:25 p.m. Mountain time, so pickups from noon get fans home before kickoff.10 The Denver Center for the Performing Arts names Ethiopian and Eritrean kitchens first among the cuisines on the Havana Street corridor, and 4.5% of Aurora residents report Subsaharan African ancestry.155 With 270 full-service restaurants across Aurora's ZIP codes, a Thursday post beats a Sunday-morning scramble.8 November nights at DIA average 26.0°F, an easy setup for a warm tray of stew.6

Example postGoogle Business Profile

Example post for an auto glass and windshield repair shop in Aurora

Driving to DIA for Thanksgiving? Deal with that rock chip before you go. Nights here already drop below freezing, and a chip that sits through a few cold mornings and a blasting defroster can spread into a crack across your line of sight. A chip repair takes us about 30 minutes, so you can wait inside with a coffee. We're open Saturday, Nov 21 and Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, then closed Thursday, Nov 26. Send a booking request for a repair time with the link on this post. #AuroraCO #WindshieldRepair #AutoGlass #ThanksgivingTravel
Example post image: Close-up of two gloved hands pressing a chip-repair bridge tool onto a car windshield, a small star-shaped chip under the tool, a thin rim of frost along the edge of the glass, overcast cold winter daylight, pale gray sky reflected in the windshield, no faces, no text, no logos, no license plates, no labels.

Why it works: For last year's holiday, Denver International Airport expected more than 845,000 travelers through security between November 21 and December 1, and Tuesday, November 25 was among its three busiest days.16 The city calls itself "just minutes away" from the airport; this year Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, and Aurora schools are off all week.21312 An average November at DIA brings 22.7 nights at or under 32°F, so frost cracks are a real worry for drivers.6 Aurora's ZIP codes count just 3 dedicated auto glass shops, compared with 17 across Arapahoe County, so a shop with a busy Google profile is easier to find.817

Why do freezing nights and sunny afternoons matter for Aurora posts?

Aurora stays dry and bright most of the year, with frost-prone nights from October to April and a short, wet early summer. The city advertises "more than 300 days of sunshine a year."2 All numbers here come from the 1991-2020 normals for Denver International Airport.6

  • Dry most days: measurable precipitation, a hundredth of an inch or more, shows up on only 79.7 days a year, leaving about 285 without it (our arithmetic). Of the 14.48 annual inches, 9.50 arrive April through August, around 66% (our arithmetic).
  • Frost at night, sun by noon: 156.3 nights a year hit 32°F or colder, and November through March accounts for 130.2 of them, about 83% (our arithmetic). Yet just 22.3 days a year never climb above freezing. That daily swing is a natural hook for windshield, plumbing and car-care posts.
  • True deep freezes: 6.2 nights a year sink below zero. On those mornings, replace the planned post with two lines: you're open, and the coffee's hot.
  • Summer heat: 46.2 days reach 90°F, 18.8 of them in July, and 1.9 top 100°F.

If a storm does shut you down, the city plows up to 1,500 lane miles with more than 90 pieces of equipment and clears major arterials first.23 Mark special hours on your Google profile to spare people a wasted drive.24

Which Aurora corridors and landmarks should your captions name?

Use the names Aurora drivers actually say: Havana, Colfax, Stanley, Southlands. The city counts "more than 450 neighborhoods," so a corridor or a landmark usually means more to a reader than a subdivision does.2

  • Havana Street: a "4.3-mile corridor" with "400+ international eateries," according to its business improvement district.25
  • The Aurora Cultural Arts District: 16 blocks of historic East Colfax Avenue, a certified Colorado Creative District and home to Vintage Theatre and the Aurora Fox Arts Center.26 The Colfax Canvas Festival has painted nearly 30 murals there since 2020.15
  • Stanley Marketplace: a 1954 Stanley Aviation plant that reopened in 2016 and now houses 50-plus locally owned businesses, at 2501 N. Dallas St.27 It borders Denver's Central Park neighborhood on Aurora's northwest side.15
  • The Anschutz Medical Campus: the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region, per the Colorado School of Public Health, with the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center across the street.28
  • Buckley Space Force Base: switched from an Air Force name to a Space Force name on June 4, 2021.29
  • The Municipal Center and its Great Lawn: 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, where Aurora Fest and the Holiday Tree Lighting happen.2022
  • Southlands: the shopping district that opens The Pond ice rink each November.19

Outdoor spots work as reference points too: the city lists five golf courses, two reservoirs, 103 parks and over 5,000 acres of open space and trails.2 Put a landmark or two, such as "two lights south of the Anschutz campus," in the description you give Presly, and posts will mention them.

How can a Havana Street restaurant stand out on a 4.3-mile food corridor?

Get specific about dishes, hours and your exact block, and post often enough that people keep seeing you. The district counts "400+ international eateries" along Havana, and the Aurora Economic Development Council counts "300+" independently run ethnic restaurants across the city.2526 DCPA's guide names Ethiopian, Eritrean, Mexican, Salvadoran, Indian, Chinese and Italian kitchens on the corridor, plus more than 20 international markets.15

Ideas that suit an Ethiopian kitchen on Havana:

  • Name the dish, not the category. "Shiro and gomen on fresh injera" beats "Ethiopian combo." Put your real menu into your Presly description and the posts will use it.
  • Show the coffee. An unhurried coffee service after dinner is worth a photo, and your own picture can go out as shot.
  • Ride the street's events. In 2026 the Havana Street Night Market ran on the last Saturday of each month from May to September at Leezakaya.19 Once the 2027 dates are posted, type them in as topics.

Should an Aurora business post in Spanish, Vietnamese or another language?

When regulars order in Spanish, Vietnamese or Korean, a feed in that language meets them halfway. At home, 33.1% of Aurora residents 5 and up speak something other than English, and 15.8% describe their English as less than "very well."5 22.4% were born abroad, and Hispanic or Latino residents make up 31.4% of the city.530

The Census table C16001 breaks Aurora down like this:31

  • Spanish: 77,513 speakers, 21.0% of residents 5 and up; 37,076, about 47.8%, put their English below "very well" (our arithmetic).
  • Russian, Polish or other Slavic tongues: 3,990.
  • Vietnamese: 3,203, with about 59.5% reporting limited English (our arithmetic).
  • Arabic: 3,133. Korean: 2,263. Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese together: 1,890.
  • Tagalog (incl. Filipino): 1,237.

One language per business. Presly writes every caption for a business in the language it picks. A Mexican bakery off East Colfax could go with Spanish, a pho shop with Vietnamese, a Korean barbecue spot on Havana with Korean, and a deli with Eastern European regulars with Russian or Ukrainian. Filipino, Arabic, and Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) are also choices.

Which Aurora businesses get the most out of Presly?

Here's where we think regular posting pays off, drawn from the Census Bureau's 2023 ZIP Code Business Patterns for Aurora's 15 mailing-address ZIP codes. It's our read, and it promises no results.8

  1. Restaurants and cafés: 785 food and drink locations, about 9.2% of all (our arithmetic), counting 270 full-service restaurants, 330 limited-service spots, 106 coffee, juice and snack bars, 20 bars and 9 food trucks.
  2. Home trades: 736 specialty trade contractors, including 147 residential remodelers, 135 plumbing and HVAC firms, 94 electricians and 53 roofers, plus 98 landscapers.
  3. Car care: 177 repair and maintenance shops: 67 general garages, 38 body shops and 25 car washes among them.
  4. Health practices: 180 dental offices, 113 physician offices, 41 therapy practices and 39 chiropractors.
  5. Beauty and personal care: 79 beauty salons (51 employing fewer than five people), 70 nail salons and 32 other personal care spots such as day spas.

Sample week for a Havana Street nail salon (example only). Monday: Presly's image of a deep plum winter set. Wednesday: your phone shot of a French manicure. Friday: a note that two Saturday chairs are open, and by evening two booking requests are waiting for you to accept. Sunday: a new Google review, where Growth offers a suggested reply on a tap and Pro has a draft ready to tweak and send.

How often should an Aurora small business post?

Set a pace that survives a dead week in February, and keep it. For Aurora, we'd aim for three or four Instagram or Facebook posts weekly plus one Google Business Profile post a week. Google moves profile posts to its archive at six months unless they have a date range, so a June festival post won't still be up in December.1420 Do a little extra around Broncos home Sundays, Thanksgiving week and December 31.1013

Can Aurora customers book from my Instagram bio?

Yes, with Growth or Pro. Presly gives your booking page a short link of its own. Three good homes for it: your Instagram bio, the last line of a caption, and Google's booking-links field, which accepts up to 10 links per category and lets you flag one as "Business preferred."32 A customer taps through, chooses a free time and sends the request. Accepting it is your call, unless auto-confirm is on. Presly reminds them the day before; a two-hour reminder is optional. At a restaurant, each table request lists day, hour and party size.

How does an Aurora shop climb in Google Maps?

Fill in the whole profile, post every week and answer reviews. Our paraphrase of Google's guidance:

  • Three factors drive local results, per Google: relevance, distance and prominence. Money doesn't buy rank, though a complete profile and steady reviews do help.33
  • Profile posts come as updates, offers or events, and a weekly one from Presly keeps the listing current.14
  • Answer reviewers, the five-star fans and the grumpy ones too; people browsing reviews pay attention to owner replies.34
  • Special hours belong on cold-snap closures, Thanksgiving Day and an early close on December 31.24
  • Photo specs: JPG or PNG, at least 10 KB and no more than 5 MB, ideally 720 x 720 pixels.35
  • Use the same name that's on your storefront and receipts. Keywords and specials don't belong in it.36
